Dear Parent(s)/Guardian:

 

My name is Mrs. George and I will be your child’s 6th grade Math teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. My goal is to ensure that your child is challenged while gaining grade level and beyond skills to help promote a community of Life-long Learners.  If you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to contact me by email at adrian.george@desotoisd.org or by phone at (972) 274-8090 extension 4214. Below I have included a list of supplies required for the class, and the classroom expectations, which coincide with the overall school rules.

 

CLASSROOM SUPPLIES:

  • Composition  Notebook (For Note Taking)
  • Notebook paper
  • A Blue folder with pockets and brads to keep graded work
  • #2 pencils (a box)
  • Hand Sharpener
  • 2 Glue Sticks
  • 1 Bottle of Hand Sanitizer
  • 2 box of Tissue 

     

    CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS:

  • Be on time, with all supplies, and in your assigned seat ready to learn when the bell rings.
  • Take care of all personal business during the passing period. No passes to the restroom will be given unless students have turned in a doctor’s note stating a medical condition to the Nurse.
  • Follow directions the first time given and respect the learning environment
  • All Work Turned In For A Grade Must Be Written In Pencil.

     

    DISCIPLINE PLAN:

  • Verbal warning
  • Student/Teacher conference
  • Call or Email to Parent/Guardian
  • Parent/Teacher conference (in Person)
  • Principal’s referral

  • Expressions of encouragement and praise (verbal or written)
  • Eagle Bucks
  • Educational growth

PARENTAL/GUARDIAN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM

 

I acknowledged that as a parent/guardian I had been informed of the CLASSROOM DISCIPLINE PLAN for the 7th grade Math class of Mrs. George for the school year 2018-2019 and have discussed it with my child.

 

I also will work with the teacher to ensure that my child will be successful in this Math class.
